  1. ....wow....just saw this post.

I thought the healthcare bill was supposed to provide insurance for all......30 mill more people in the system.....no one denied....premiums will go down.....care will get better....will bring down the deficit.......will cure ED....unicorns for all !!!

Seriously, all the propaganda can make your head spin. But no spin question.......how will all the additional people in the system be serviced by the existing number of practitioners at the current fee schedule rates offered by managed care ????? Small problem.....don't you think ????

  2. I have found the best thing since sliced bread lol! I had an issue with one of my pillars beginning to peel and I have seen several others with this issue on this site. I have seen where some people were quoted over 200.00 to replace the part. There is a seller on EBAY with a store called Pillar Covers. The installation was fast and easy and you dont notice anything different. Besides the fact that I put mine on a little uneven. The kit came with 6 pieces for my car. Every car has different fitments and different number of pieces required. I only used one of the pieces and saved the others for later in case of any future damage. The one pice I used matched perfectly side by side with my original undamaged pillar. I meant to take a picture of the peeling/damage before replacing but just forgot because I was so excited about covering it up. The price was under $50.00 and they even periodically run sales. Even if nothing is wrong with your car, they also sell chrome and carbon fiber pillar covers to add a little design to your ride. Here are some of the features listed below

Made out of a high gloss piano BLACK polycarbonate!

    - Reflection quality as good as a glass mirror!

    - 30x stronger then the competitor's "plastic covers".

    - 2x thinner then any other competitor's covers. Looks like an OEM part without sticking out.

    - 5 minute installation. Just peel the backing off and apply to your car. No tools necessary.

    - All of our parts are cut by computer so a perfect fitment is GUARANTEED each time.

    - Material has built-in UV protection and is guaranteed for 10+ years outdoors.

    - Easily cleanable with soap and water. Carwash safe and guaranteed not to come off.

    - All parts are IN STOCK and will be shipped within 24hours.

    - 30 day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. If you're not totally satisfied for any reason, just return it for a full refund!

    - Part quality is guaranteed with a 3 YEAR WARRANTY. No other company on ebay guarantees their work like us.

Here is a link to their EBAY Store http://stores.ebay.c...sid=p4340.l2563

They are so thin that the corners will eventually start to lift.

  4. Wow, I am impressed. The trim pieces look great, where did you get the material to cover them?

The material is called Magical Carbon. It's real carbon fiber with adhesive already attached to the back.....and no, it's not vinyl.....and it's not Dinoc....it's real carbon fiber.

I use marine grade epox resin on top to protect and give the surface depth. I am a distributor for the material and I can also do custom work. Price depends on size and how difficult the pieces are to cover.

  5. Nice rides! I've always been a huge fan of the IS300 & wanted one badly for the longest time, but family vehicles firts for me <_<

What turbo set up was in your IS300? I wanted to replicate the 2JZ or just do a 2JZ swap when I was looking.

It's a stock GE block with the first Turbo East setup back in 2002. I'm assuming you want to do a GTE swap.

  6. There are a number of websites with diagrams including http://lexus.sewellparts.com
Thanks....sites like Sewell and MyLexusParts do not show the level of detail that the parts explosions show in the repair manuals. I was wondering if anyone had the center console/navi repair manual explosion.

Which repair manuals are you talking about? The official repair manual set for my 2000 LS400 has far fewer diagrams than on the parts vendor websites. The few diagrams there are in my manuals are much less detailed. Maybe it's different in the official repair manuals for your SC but I doubt it.

I rely on the diagrams on parts vendor websites and especially on http://www.toyodiy.com/ which has the same diagrams but for all vehicles sold worldwide by Toyota since 1967 . There are similarities in the way the interiors of Toyota/Lexus products are held together. I've disassembled the center stack and consoles of several Lexus/Toyota vehicles. If you can do it on a Camry, you can do it on a Lexus.

I don't think the Camry has all the automatic covers over the nav screen or hinged lids over the audio......I'll check my dealer to see if they would print out the page I need.

  7. I've owned several Lexus models and have modified them all ...... ^_^

Here's a sample of my Lexus through the years.....

    My first Lexus....IS300 turbo:

    Then I bought a 2nd Gen IS:

Then I went to a larger car......3rd Gen GS:

Then the wife needed an SUV:
