Hello all. I am a newbie to Lexus and usually buy Nissan/Infiniti cars. Anyways, I sold my car and looking to buy this Black/tan 96 SC300 5spd. I did check it out yesterday (unprepared), but just to see if it is the kind of car I want to pursue. After driving it, it really is a nice car. I told the guy, I want to think about it and he gave me till later today. So now I am researching this great site and found common problems to look out for and different issues. I have printed those out and will check the car in more detail tonight. My goal is to modify this car, but concerned that it's a 96 which means OBDII, correct? Should I just wait and look for a pre-OBDII SC300 or will it be okay to modify the 96? BTW The car currently has 102,700miles and he will take $8800 for it. Is this also a fair price?
