  1. Hi everyone. Just a few words on how to keep your parchment leather seats clean and free of dye transfers, especially from blue jeans. I did a lot of reseach over the internet and finally found a product which will clean, remove dyes (even ink) and protect your parchment colored leather seat surfaces. The product comes as a kit and is called "Leather Doctor" which I used and that it is really the best I have ever used. It really does remove blue jean dye transfers and the kit also comes with a protector which makes your leather smell just like NEW leather. I always wear blue jeans and my seats have not had any dye transfer since I used this product which is about 1 month ago. The contact persoon for the kit is Roger Koh and the web address is info@leatherdoctor.org. The only thing one must keep in mind is that it requires a lot of dwell time and not to be rushed.
  2. Thank you so much 1990LS400. I like the ones from the thread on LexusClub for aftermarket mudflaps. I will continue to look on line and maybe find some other types. Thanks again.
  3. I am looking for some mudflaps for my 2011 ES 350. The road dirt just flies all over the car and really does a job on the mirrors. Are there really good fitting mudflaps which do not require drilling holes for both front and rear? I find it strange that Toyota supplies them for their Camries, Corollas, etc. and not for the Lexus. I would prefer some suppliers from Canada as I live in New Brunswick on the east coast. Many thanks.
  4. Hello Lexus owners. I am a new owner of a 2011 ES 350 which replaces my 2007 Toyota Camry XLE V6. I always wanted to have a Lexus, but, had to wait until my retirement years to acquire one. My Lexus is Starfire Pearl with parchment interior and Touring edition. I only have 3000K on it since acquiring it in early November, 2011. The car is really nice - quality workmanship and rides like a dream. The only real disappointment I have with the car is with the parchment leather seats, I wear blue denim jeans daily and this has proven to be a real hassle in keeping the blue dye from transferring to the seat surfaces. I have talked to my Lexus dealership about this and they just seem to say it can be cleaned with a premium automotive leather cleaner/conditioner. I must say that I am now using a product at least once a week to remove and clean the leather surface in both front seats. I also contacted Lexus Canada, but they simply told me that I will need to use a cleaner/conditioner and referred me back to my dealership. Not a very helpful answer. There must be a product which "protects" the leather from the dye transfer or at least slow it down. Has anyone else have this problem and /or have any better solution to this seemingly common problem? Please help. Many thanks.
