  1. In case anyone is interested: Like I said above, the music was coming in from the iPod but the problem was that i couldn't seem to isolate the sound. My solution was to use the tape input with the cassette adapter without plugging the casette adapter into anything (i eventually cut the cassette adapter cord so the tape just sits in the player without an annoying cord coming out). I set the cassette player to the highest quality (dolby something i think) so I'm getting no feedback at high volumes. So far, I'm pleased as hell. I have the RCA to mini coming up through the center console and i get my sik imp tomorrow in the mail. The sound seems to be cd quality to me. So...I'm stoked. -rob
  2. Fellas, I just bought a 1998 ES300 and wanted to hook up my iPod to it. I used a cassette adapter for a while but was unsatisfied with the sound. I bought an aux converter from soungate called the AUXTOY1. The installation went fine but when i went o try the thing out the music from my ipod was playing through the AM, FM, and TAPE inputs. When i push the CD button nothing happens. If I stick in my cassette adapter and don't plug it in to anything the sound from the iPod comes out loud and clear through the cable hooked up to the converter. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could get the CD button to work or at least do something. Thanks, Rob
