  1. Im trying to replace the high pressure line from the pump to the gear on my 95 ES300 but I've hit a huge snag and I need help!!! I cant seen to get the banjo bolt off!! I got the bolt loose but once its loose the bolt, the hose, and the nut on the pump moves together. I need help!! I spent 2 hrs on it and I've ran out of ideas. Does any one kno how to do this?
  2. I have been getting a p0115 code so I changed the temp sensor by the belts, change and flushed the radiator fluids, changed the thermostat, and the radiator was changed recently before i got the car and Im still getting the code. Im stumped, the only thing i can think of is the ect sensor on the thermostat housing. Does anyone have any input? :(......also I changed the sensor for the temp gauge b/c it was not working, now that I've changed it it constantly reads HOT even though its not over heating...did they give me a bad/wrong sensor?
  3. I have a 95 es with 23200 miles, I've been having a problem with the engine coolant. The temp gauge isn't reading accurate, it says its overheating when its not. In addition to that it doesn't reach its operating temp of 190 unless I lets it sit for a while. While driving on the freeway the highest it will reach is 160. Now I keep getting P0115 code that won't go away. Can anyone help??? My guess is the thermostat is stuck open and it needs a coolant flush.
  4. Does anyone know if I can use dash needles from another model Lexus on the ES300s?
  5. I have a 95 ES300, I jus recently replaced the sensor for the gauge on the dash and it started back working. The only thing now is that the gauge when it starts up automatically climbs to halfway within 4 seconds from a cold start. Then while driving it slow climbs to "overheating". I know its not over heating because i hooked it up to me scantool and I used a infrared temp scanner and they both read 178 F when it got to the point of normal operating temp and it was holding at that temp. The fan is spinning but not super fast. What I did notice that if I turn the A/C the temp starts to drop down immediately on the gauge and once the A/C is off it climbs back up. When Im on the freeway the temp stays close to a normal temp range without the A/C being on. Also I had jus recently replaced the gauge in the dash for the temp because I thougth that was the problem at first and there is a leak in the power steering somewhere near the power steering pump if that makes a difference. At this point I am completely lost and I dont know what else to do, someone please help me out!!!
  6. I need help!!! I got a CEL and it wont turn off. I checked it with my scan tool and it came out to be P0115 Engine Temp Circuit Malfunction. I just changed the sensor about a week ago (I thought i had changed the temp gauge sensor but it was the coolant sensor lol ). I checked the fluid level and it was low and I filled it back up but its still on. I know the sensor is good b/c i just changed it. I checked the temp with my scan tool and the the temp was ok not abnormally high. I checked the referance voltage from the connector and it was fine....I cant think of anything thing else...someone please help!!!!!
  7. The coolant temperature gauge doesn't work, so I replace the sensor for it and it still doesnt register on the guage. :( Does anyone else have this problem? What else can I do to fix it?
  8. I seen the write-up to DIY repair the needles, but I was wondering is there a way to hook up the LEDs in a series so that you dont have to use a resistor? If so, how many?
