Right under the speedo O-E and the word off under it

My Daughter just started driving the 1999 rx300 her grandmother left to her. She just called me to tell me a warning code just came up on the dash and it is O-E she thought it may be the overdrive but she hit that button and it did'nt go off. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated I sure would'nt want her to get stranded.
