  1. I think it was the spark plugs and possibly the wires, too. I bought the car used right around the 60K so maybe they weren't replaced then.
  2. Lexus just told me my spark plug and ignition coil has to be replaced so he recommends going ahead and replacing all the spark plugs. However, he said maybe I should go ahead and do 90K service now because if these are going out already, what does that say about the condition of the timing belt or other parts? He suggests they go and see what else is up. What do you think? This is all a big expense but I wonder if I should just have them do it now since they are going in already? Oh, did I mention that I have 80K on my LX470 right now?
  3. My LX470 was hit last summer and my whole front was smashed in ($16,000 worth of damage if you can believe it). Lots of parts were replaced by the person's insurance company but I was told the engine was fine. Well, just this morning, my engine light began to flash and so I immediately called a tow truck and had them take it to Lexus. A minute before the light went on, my car started to shake a little when I had my pedal on the gas (like it was running out of gas). Any thoughts on what might be the problem? I also wonder if this is related in any way to the accident last summer...Thanks for the help!
  4. Can anyone help? I bought a 1999 LX470 and found out that it didn't have the necessary tool kit (jack, etc.) to get the spare tire down and replace the flat. Can someone describe what the bag of tools looks like (I've seen some on eBay) so I know if I'm getting the right ones? I will have to buy the jack and attachments from Lexus since I can't seem to find them used anywhere. Does someone have any to sell? I've checked the salvage yards around here. Thanks for the help!!!
