no trans codes, parts were replaced...prob intermittent...only code on check eng light is lean fuel..it comes and goes

Have had good luck up until 130000 mil..codes popping up, and now a transmission problem which the mechanic can't seem to fix...trans repair shop.. intermittently won't shift into 4th. any suggestion?
