the dealer said only that the transmission must be changed completly. the oil ist changed just 4 weeks ago. nothing more. another member said that the transmission must be reseted. do you know something about it. greets

Hello, perhaps somebody can help or knows something. I have a problem with my 1999 LS400 (100.000miles). My auto transmission isn't able to shift up from 4th to 5th gear anymore. My car is out of warranty and my dealer quoted me 3500$ I can feel that the transmission wants to shift into 5th. But it does not. Urgent advise needed. Is this a known problem? thanx rob123
