I've recently been thinking about buying a salvage/ ex-rental RX450h at auction and adding an Enginer PHEV system to the area where the current spare tyre fits. Can anybody please post photos or rough dimensions of this area? how large is it without the spare tyre and it's associated plastic moulding/toolkits in place? I have searched extensively for photos if the spare tyre area under the trunk floor without the tyre fitted, yet have had no luck.
It seems like a large space, indicating a large battery pack can be added, my aim is to create a 50mpg SUV...
