I'l know for sure in October when I receive mine, but if a Lexus dealer tells you that the settings are retained, I got to believe they have been there done that many many times and it's not going to be a problem :)

In November of 2003, while the 2004s were out, I was able to locate a new 2003 GS430 loaded with Nav, Levinson, 17" wheels, and stole it for $46.5k You might be able to get one around there if you are a bit lucky and one is sitting at a dealers lot. Before this I had talked to more than a dozen dealers all over the east coast, nobody wanted to play ball at that price. Then suddenly one contacted me with a new 2003, and I thought, sure, I'll take it! I drove it home the same night and I am soooooooo happy I bought it. K

I talked to the Lexus dealer that is offering the DVD update at $244, he said "Oh no, of course not!" So I ordered it. Kiriakos

Quick question - I have a 2003 GS 430 - I have added tons of addresses and marked points in the 10 months I have had it. If I upgrade to this latest Nav DVD, do I loose all my info? thanks, Kiriakos
