  1. Any other 2008 LS460 or 460L owners had their amplifier gone out on them? Crazy as it sounds but I had mine just go out on my car and then the same week I was speaking to another 460L owner who his also went out...I was 52,000 and Lexus told me sorry but it's over the 50,000 warranty. I'm very upset since we pay huge $$$ for the "Great" Mark Levinson 19 spk system. OK Hold on to your seat for this one...a new Amplifier costs $2800.00. I would think there would be some sort of repair program available...take mine out, send it for repair, put it back in...

Where is the quality...At the same time I had mine recalled for the valve spring replacement, and have had the water pump replaced.

OK enough venting...back to my original question.

    Thanks

A new one is your only choice at the moment. Or a junk yard one. Several of them have been replaced on both the regular and the L version.

  2. The fan is controlled by a solenoid in the power steering pump. When there is a demand for cooler air the solenoid allows maximum pressure to the fan to turn it harder and faster, like in traffic or stop lights. Check your fluid in the power steering reservoir and also observe the fan speed. If it is not working or going faster, jump the pins E and FB and you should see the fan spin faster. if that does not happen there is a problem with either the solenoid or wiring.

  3. I noticed that the passenger side cup holder doesn't hold the cups snugly anymore and found that the little plastic spring loaded clip that snugs the cup toward the front of the holder is broken. I found it but can't really tell if an unbroken replacement can be installed (even if I can find one). This is important since this is the only holder for the passenger and cups keep flipping out without the snugging clip.

Anyone know if this can be replaced/fixed or if I have to get a whole new / used cup holder assembly?

I saw the post which seems to describe how to remove the cup holder. Hope it applies to me too:

    Many thanks!

I dont know of any other way than to replace the broken one with a new one and the instructions you found are correct

  4. Hello I am new to this forum but have really gotten some useful info from it so far...I have a 2006 Lexus GX460 w 54000 miles. All of my interior lights are working except for around the gear shifter and down hill assist button etc. The only ones that are working in that area are the seat warmers. Does this seem to be a fuse? If so is that something I can switch ou myself. It should be noted that I just got the car back on Friday from a warranty repair regarding having the transfer case chain replaced. (The car was droning between 70-75 mph.) Does anyone think that has anything to do with it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No separate fuses for these items ,the bulbs are probably just burnt out.
