  1. Be sure to check the electronics associated with the transmission. A sudden failure like you are describing is often a sign that an electronic device/controller has failed. Based on your description it is a failure that the OBD system can not detect. Thank you for replying, i appreciate all your help guys. Mr Ray, do you know by any chance what i have to check in specific regarding the electronic components for the transmission? i have tried to look information about it but have not been able to ind something in specific. Once again, thank you for your help. :)
  2. Thanks man, i appreciate you answering my question. Actually, what I am trying to do now is to get a transmission from ebay; they sell some cheap ones for like $300 plus shipping, and with 6 months warrant on it, so I might just need someone to install it. I was actually about to sell the car when this happen, I love the car, its in great condition, interior, exterior, engine good, and now this. oh well, I will try to get it done somehow. Another option that someone told me is that maybe can be a computer chip or the transmission fluid; I believe the guys from the transmission stores might just be trying to get our money, becuase the guy I took it to he said that he would charge me 400 just to take the transmission down and take a look at it, I feel he was beign dishonest becuase when I refused to leave it at the shop he began to get kinda upset and told me that if I find a cheaper way to fix it it might just be temporary which leads me to believe that taking the trans down and doing all that work might not be the only option to fix this, but we will see. Thanks again for replying man and good luck :)
  3. I have a problem with my ES300, it was fine a couple of days ago, last night the transmission slipped, i parked and turned off the car, turned back on and it seemed fine, this morning, I drove to work, then back home and when i tried to drive again in the afternoon the car stopped completely in the middle of the road. It had just enough force left to get it off the road. i had it towed on a flat bed to the mechanic, and when i got there, the car did go forward on D and R (weird), after a while it didn't do anything else and was stuck again. a friend tells me it might be the transmission fluid, but it seems to fine, please help! Thank you!
