Wanted to share that yes, the small screwdriver in the ignition (with a little wd40), did in fact allow me to reset the ignition lock problem as many else have described. My ignition was also stuck in the mid way point between fully being off and turning over(radio was on, dash lights etc). Thanks everyone for the help and advice.
