I had my front driver side wheel hub replaced because the beering where going out, they where making this terrible noise like a constant ratteling racket no matter what i did it sounded terrible. Anyways i took it to a buddies shop and he did it for i think 450-500 and that included the part. Yes you need to get an alignment after words. This was at about 105,000 miles, i didnt think i would be having any problems but man once that started the control arm and the strut needed to be changed as well!

I just had to replace my driver side front strut along with my upper control arm, but the rest where fine. If you can i would put an original stut back on, i dont know about them lasting forever because i've also replaced the hub assembly on the front driver side as well allwith in the past 6 months.
