  1. Hi Kin 99 times out of 100 the mirror computer goes bad when both mirrors stop working. It is located behind the glove box Remove the glove box assembly(only a few screws) and look on top of the A/C housing you will see a small computer mounted on its side with the plug facing you remove the screw holding it in and slide out the computer unplug it and replace with a new one and your problems will go away In my 10 years at Lexus never seen a switch go bad always the computer Let me know if you need more info Hope this helps Lextek

  3. Hi Guys Yes the starter is under the intake manifold and no fun to replace most of your cost will be labor but that should be covered under powertrain warranty 6yrs 70,000miles check it out. Thanks Lextek
  4. Hey Tung To remove rear light assembly open hatch,on the inside edge of the light assembly you will see 2 small plastic circles with a slot in the bottom pop those off with a small screwdriver and remove the 2 screws underneath then pull the whole assembly STRAIGHT out the back as to not break the plastic pins on the outside.May take a little grunt but should pop right out then you will have access to the bulbs . Change the burnt one and your in buisness Let me know if this helps Thanks Lextek
  5. Hey Hoffmnjp Im about a week late on your post I dont know if you have fixed it yet but if not heres your fix. You do have a bad ground. Very common in early LS's. Open the trunk on the drivers side trunk hinge (curved bar attaching trunk to car)there is a black plastic piece running the length of the hinge protecting a small wiring harness that runs through the trunk hinge. Pull that down and out of the way.Pull the harness out of the hinge it kind of runs down the hinge and then goes up and makes a u turn pull that out .You can pulldown the trunk liner on drivers side and see where it snaps on to a bolt pull that off of the bolt to give yourself a little more wire length to work with. Now you will see where the wires make a uturn inside another plastic piece.Unravel the tape in this area and remove the plastic piece. You will find a broken wire (white with black stripe) made a little to short at the factory. Splice in a small 2 inch extension betweeen the broken ends preferably solder it ( use butt connectors that you crimp on or twist and tape if you must.) Tape the harness back up. Put it all back together. And your problems will disappear. Hope this helps Post back and let me know how you did Lextek
  6. Hey Dragon Your 02 sensors on a gs300 are in the exhaust manifolds, they are accessed from under the hood on the passenger side just look down and you will see them (2 manifolds 3 cylinders each) one sensor on each manifold. I would suggest replacing them both at this time as replacing one just causes the other one to trip a code turning that nasty check engine light again. I would also suggest doing this when the engine is cold so they dont strip out using some penetrating oil like wd40 helps also.If they are stubborn be easy and dont force them(they are prone to stripping) loosen a little and then tighten a little a few times and they should come out.Maybe you will get lucky and they will come right out. Hope this helps
  7. Yes your salesman told the truth (wow thats a first)several options can be programed but must be done by a dealer as you need the factory scan tool. They should do it free the first time if you bought it there and fairly inexpensive or free if not.
