  1. Geeze! Thanks, I'm usually the first one I know to recommend "look it up on the computer" . Seriously, thanks, it was "on the internet". The original Lexus LS 400, the first Lexus to be developed, was introduced as the luxury marque's debut model in 1989. Following the initial model, subsequent redesigns included the second-generation LS 400 in 1995, third-generation LS 430 in 2001, and the fourth-generation LS 460/LS 460 L series in 2006. Now that I know I have a 2nd generation, how do I figure out what my color scheme? It's such a nice subtle combination. I love this car!
  2. and how did you get the link to DO that? It was pretty cool, I didn't have to type a thing!

  4. Okay, so how does one tell what generation Lexus one owns? I know its been covered, but its buried in time.
  5. :D I would like to thank everyone who helped, I finally fixed the bulb, and it works great! :( one small downer, I tore the rubber cover a little. Are there any real issues with that? Thanks again!
  6. These tips have really helped. Its been raining here, so I had to put off the repair, and today is the Superbowl, so I will be able to work on it on Tuesday (my next day off). Thanks so much, this forum is just what I needed!
  7. Thanks so much for the diagram, I am going to work on the light today, really appreciate it!
  8. That is awesome news, I am going to work on it tomorrow, thanks!
  9. :) Hi! Bought my first ever Lexus, and I love this car. I had to replace a brake light, that was an adventure. Lexus sure puts things away, don't they? Anyway, I have to replace a headlight bulb. I've bought the replacement bulb per my owner's manual, and have read up on this forum, and elsewhere how to replace the bulb, but I have a couple of questions. The instructions say to remove the battery (and I do see that's the only way to get to the bulb). I've never removed a car battery before, what does that do my electronics, like radio presets, etc. Is it easy to do? Is the battery heavy? I'm a small lady (just under 5 ft) with strength to match, and don't want to start a project I won't be able to finish. The brake light was challenging enough! I appreciate any help or links ! Thanks
