I was looking at the lineup of dealers but I had to scroll to the bottom and that's where Bay Ridge Lexus was located. It's not where the rest of the New York dealers are located. Could that be moved? Thanks. :)

Yes, white smoke coming out of your tailpipe is a good indication that you have a significant head gasket leak. That's where your coolant is going. If you pull out the oil dipstick do you see any droplets of moisture alongside with the oil? If you open the oil filler cap do you see any moisture there as well? Even though you might not notice that it still points to the head gasket.
With so much coolant going into the cylinders it would cause your spark plugs to misfire and that would also give you a strong smell of gasoline.

Yes Matt, That is the correct listing. "New York : Bay Ridge Lexus"
Thank you. ;)

I couldn't find my Lexus dealer located in the list, so naturally I couldn't give a review. Is there anyway to get this dealer listed? The dealers name is Bay Ridge Lexus, Brooklyn, NY

I got my '03 last month and I love it as I'm sure you will too. Only one little minor annoyance is a slight rattling noise that comes from the right back door.
This happens when the weather outside is about 30 degrees or lower. I took the car back to the dealer and they told me there's a Service Bulletin issued for this problem. They have to take off the door panel and refasten the insulation. So if you hear that noise you now know what to do. :) I'll bring mine in at the first oil change to correct it. Good Luck with your new car.

I searched the internet, and sent emails to alot of die-cast model makers, but it seems that NOBODY has made any ES300 models, no matter what year!!!

I don't think there is a new disc out yet, but I wanted to be one jump ahead. :D

Do you know the approximate cost of a new disc and what's involved in changing it. Thanks for the welcome. Nice group of people here....Glad I found this site. :)

There are certain tests that you probably can't do yourself. At this point I would take the car to a reputable radiator shop to check out the radiator core. It might need to be backflushed, especially since you put in the stopleak.
The core has many fine passages for the flow of coolant and all it takes are a few clogged passages to let the heat build up slowly but surely. Radiator shops have a device to check the pressure cap.

I would flush out all the stopleak and than put in a new thermostat. I than would fill up the radiator with plain water and see if this problem continues. If it doesn't than fill it up with the proper type of anti-freeze.
An improper opening thermostat will cause this type of problem.

Has anybody seen a Die-cast model of a 2002-03 ES300? I've seen other Lexus Models for sale but not this one. :(

I'm a new member and I'd like to know if it's possible to change the DVD in the Lexus Navigational System myself or does the car have to be brought to the dealer to do this. It's a 2003 ES300.
Thank's, Alan

Always try to fill your tank at the same pump when doing this test. Fill it up as much as possible. Reset the trip odometer. Drive the car until you have about 1/4 of a tank left. Once again fill the tank the same as before. You than divide how many miles are on the odometer by how many gallons you used. That'll give you a pretty accurate idea of how many Miles per gallon you are getting.
