  1. I won't post the link here because I don't know if it's copyrighted but go here and you'll see the manual: http://www.filecrop.com/search.php?w=lexus+rx&size_i=0&size_f=1048576&engine_r=1&engine_m=1 It's a 2,000+ page repair manual (PDF Format) which is directly from Toyota. It shows you in detail how to fix EVERYTHING on your vehicle.
  2. I have to ask the question- why do you have to replace the evaporator? Evaporators do go bad, BUT very rarely. Before I went to all that work, I would want to be POSITIVE that it was bad and also have some kind of an idea of why it went bad, since it is so rare. I won't post the link here because I assume it's copyrighted but go to Rapidshare.com and search for "Lexus RX300"; you'll find a 1,000+ page repair manual which is directly from Toyota. It shows you in detail how to fix EVERYTHING on your vehicle.
  3. I had P171 on my 2000 RX300 and it was resolved by replacing the MAF sensor. I tried cleaning it a few times but the code would always come back after a week or so. Finally, a month or so ago I spent the $100 to replace the MAF (which takes about 30 seconds to install) and the code hasn't been back since.
  4. I have a 2000 Lexus RX300. When the antenna goes down it makes a grinding noise which is extremely annoying. I've looked online and this doesn't seem like a common problem so I'm not sure what part would fix this issue (mast, motor or possibly something else?). It seems most people have an issue with the antenna not going up or down at all, however mine works fine... just makes that LOUD grinding noise as it gets close to the botton and then even after the antenna is already down the noise continues. Any suggestions would be EXTREMELY helpful!
