Both the Trac off and the check engine lights on. I had the computer code pulled today - code 13. Local mechanic said it was a distributor pick-up coil code. He reset the lights but they came right back on again. He also askes if the car was running poorly but it has been doing great(178K) I asked how much. He didn't know because he had to take off the engine cover. Big job, he said. Any advice? I hate to give the mechanic a blank check. Thanks. Joe

My mistake Questions for 1992 LS400 instead.

Is changing the oxygen sensor(s) a difficult job? Is there one or two? Where are they located? Aproximate cost for Lexus part?

Hi, I am new to this forum, thanks. I have a 92 ls 400 with a problem Recently, the trac/off and the check engine lights came on at the same time. They come on only occasionally, usually when my foot is on the brake. They both go off at the same time a short time after braking. Some days, they come on often and some days, not at all. I looked in the owners manual, and it said to take the car to the dealer for repair, which of course, gets expensive. Apparently, with both lights on at the same time means somthing different than each light on separately. Any clues as to what the problem is? Appreciate it.
