  1. Wow thanks a lot for the quick responses. After looking around online for information about ignition coils it makes perfect sense that this would be my problem. So in the next few days I'll buy and new one and replace the driver side coil myself. I was able to find some instructions here[http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=60609]. Hopefully I can follow these. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again for the help.
  2. Hey everyone, this is my first post here. I'm having some trouble with my car, hopefully someone can help. I was just driving home one day and all of a sudden the engine went from sounding smooth and quiet to a deep rumbling sound almost like a diesel engine. This sound has stuck since then. It also has very little power, so that it goes really slow up hills. Its only been a couple days and I haven't tested it too much but when driving I haven't been able to go past 40mph. If i try to floor it while going up hill i get almost no response, it just goes slow. Also, when i park and get out, it smells strongly of gas. To me (eventhough i don't know much) It seems like a fuel line may be damaged/clogged/disconnected and it isnt getting the gas it needs. Also, just to give some car history, just a couple weeks ago the car was in Toyota and I got my serpentine belt replaced as well as my A/C compressor. They told me that I had some issues with power steering pump leaking and with the timing belt. They were asking for too much to fix all of that so I asked them to just get it running and it has been running fine but now this. My limited knowledge has left me unsure if this is something that is impossible to correct myself so I was hoping to get some help from some experiences do-it-yourselfers. Any advice is appreciated. thanks
