Timmah333
I purchased a used 2013 GX460 in the summer in Seattle and didn’t think to look too closely to the roof before driving it home (20/20 hindsight). It turns out that the previous owner must have replaced the factory roof cross members and gutter covers with something aftermarket and then removed everything before selling. Now the roof gutters from front to back are exposed to the elements and when in the rain, the B pillars get lots of water in them and the car smells like a dirty diaper for a week. I have used tape to seal the gutters as a temporary fit but it looks all kinds of aweful. I asked the Lexus dealership what it would cost to fix but they want almost $900 to replace. Does anyone here have a less expensive solution? Or know where I could source the parts used? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
