Big Kid
So I really need help with a stubborn power window on the passenger’s door of my ’02 LS430. Going down is fine but when you try to put it up it only goes a couple of inches before it stops. You have to wait several minutes before trying again and then it only goes a couple more inches before it stops. It may take up to 10 minutes to finally get it all the way closed. So far I have replaced the motor, the window regulator, and the door-mounted computer. While the window was out of the way I also used WD40 on the window tracks. Once everything was installed I tried the window and the same thing happened. There is a new twist to the new parts…if the window is in the fully closed position and you accidently hit the switch to check that the window is all the way up, it will drop down about 3 inches or so. I have checked the wiring for signs of a break or a fray but nothing. Also tried swapping out the switch from the front door to the back door and still no luck. All help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
REL
This might just be a weak 12V underhood battery.
