No Power To Seat Stop Light

Recommended Posts

The 2 bulbs in the stop light located above the rear seat stopped working. Also the warning light for light problems came on in the instrument panel. I checked that the bulbs are working, but there is no current to them. The 25V fuse is working, as are the rear stop lights. It would seem that, since the warning sensor is working, and the rear stops are OK, there must be something wrong between the sensor and the stop light.

I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

All I can help you with is that on my 91 LS you have access to the brake light burnout sensor if you remove the back carpet trim piece from your trunk. It may be a broken wire or a loose connection. Theres one on both side, its a little black box with several wires running into a harness. You cant miss it!
