Paul202 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Hi I have noticed that the central radio / climate control unit is rather warm on the outside. Even if the radio is off. Any ideas if this is normal? Regards Paul.
VBdenny Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 ah just electronics dispersing heat. I wouldn't be concerned.
Paul202 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Ok. I am a simple mechanical engineer: I don't trust things becoming warmer than common sense explains.
VBdenny Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Understand. Do you have a thermal sensing gun? I guess the warm and not hot part threw me off. My Sirius stand alone unit gets hot, quite hot but lasted for 12 years. Many unknown factors like was the car sitting in the sun and such. Seriously trying to be helpful.. Denny
Paul202 Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Hi Denny No I don't have a thermal sensor gun. I am indeed figuring out a way to measure the temp at cover level. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the support! Regards Paul.
