alvette5 Posted April 15, 2004 Share Posted April 15, 2004 I notice this slight "scraping" sound when I drive down the neighborhood at slow speeds. It gets faster as I drive faster. It can't be the brakes since we just bought the car and the dealer says the brakes are brand new. We just brought the car to the dealer service shop and they cannot spot the problem. ipaquser Posted April 15, 2004 Share Posted April 15, 2004 I encounted a "scraping" sound coming from the back of car last year driving at low speed. The sound went away once I got the car up to speed on the road though. It only happened for a couple of days and by the time I brought the car to the dealer, the noise was gone. I asked if they could diagnose the problem, but they said that if it was not making the noise anymore, then I would be wasting my money in having them look for a problem that's not there anymore. The "scraping" noise only happened for a couple of days last year and has not occurred since then. I guess I'll never know what caused the noise.
