Mr Papa Giorgio Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Just wondering if the 1995 ls400 has the solenoid by the rack and pinion like the first gen ls? if it does should I remove it and clean it? I replaced the power steering pump and I have not preformed the flush yet. so i'd like to find out before I flush the system.
landar Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I think the answer is 'yes'. Have a look at this link and take a look at yours. While you are flushing, I would highly recommend cleaning the filter ->http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400/343856-all-in-one-power-steering-fix-s-solenoid-acv-plug-drain-flush-bleed-system-diy.html

Mr Papa Giorgio Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 today I removed the solenoid from my 95. after getting it off I found that the screen/filter had a hole in it and was very dirty. So I'm gonna head down to the salvage yard and get one from there. They have 2 that I seen still had the solenoid attached so I'll probably get both just for spares.
