Backlighting On Buttons On Steering Wheel Out

I recalled there were backlighting on the buttons on my steering wheel. They would lit up when I drive at night and they are all dark now. Does anyone own a 2006 GS300 has backlighting on the buttons on their steering wheel? I have the car for 8 years now and I don't remember the steering wheel being all dark at night. I had a brake job and oil change recently and the lights on the steering wheel are out. I don't see how they are related. Does anyone have any suggestions?

They should be lit, only at night with lights ON. Very faint green. They're illuminated by small green SMDs (tiny LEDs). There's very little probability that they've burned out. There's gotta be an electrical error. Are any interior lights out?
