2000 Rx300 Front Defroster Vent Cover Replacement

I own a 2000 RX300. The front windshield defroster vent cover (it's a long narrow piece) has popped up on one end. I'm not sure if it was held in by a clip and that broke, or what happened. It's very difficult to see or work in that area up close to the base of the windshield. Does anyone know how to remove the piece and if I get a replacement will it just pop in with clips?

Any help is appreciated.
