rmgk710
I just looked at a 98 GS 400 and want your opinion. It has 142k on it and up until about 2.5 years was serviced by Lexus dealerships with a clean carfax. Timing Belt has not been done on it yet the current owner said. Tires are probably getting there as well. Cosmetically the car is nice for the age my concern is that there is rust coming up by the drivers side metal Lexus plate and around it and on the rear passenger door jam on the frame. The door jam I can't see how it is rusting since it isn't exposed to the elements. Other than that it is only missing the plastic front shroud but so is my IS. He says the brakes are new but has that abs slipping problem. Test drove one monday it did the same thing.I guess that these are noted for before coming to a complete stop he says it has never caused him any problems. It is gold without the Nav. Feels like it slips a bit, He is asking $6800. Bottom line guys any advice? I took it for a test drive and everything seems real tight as far as suspension and well you all know the tranny and engine on these. It really runs great and shifts awesome. Thanks in advance guys and or girls.
