Odd Problem - Gps Region Changed And Cannot Change Back

I have a 2008 RX400H, and am the original owner. Its 5 years old now.

Yesterday, I discovered a newly occuring problem with the GPS. The REGION was changed to region 9 (Delaware, etc). I live in Washington St (region 1.) I pressed the button to change to Region 1, and hit OK. It does highlight region 1, but it does not actually change it. My Region keeps going back to Delaware. This makes it impossible to find local cities, etc.

Is there anything akin to a reboot or reset of the GPS, beyond what happens when one just starts the car ?

Anyone ever heard of a problem like this, or have any suggestions ?

That is strange. I would start with removing and reinstalling the navigation DVD in the rear compartment jack/tool storage area under the floor.
