1992 Ls Shift Selector Handle Wiggles

Anybody out there ever have a shift selector handle begin to wiggle?

It still shifts and goes into all of the gears okay, but my wife brought it to my attention after I let a Marine returning from Afghanistan use my beautiful car for ten days.

Easy fix? Anything in the forum on this?

Dang those Marines returning from Afghanistan! They do not know how to be gentle with anything. Seriously, it was not the Marine that 'done' this. Just a worn bushing in the shift mechanism. Twenty years is your culprit. No 'easy' fix, but not extremely difficult either.

Do you think you could find it in your heart to post a how-to to replace the shifter bushing? I have the same problem and even though I have the manual, it is not clear at all how to do this!!
