alamo28 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I am hoping someone here can help me. I have a 92 SC400 with 150K and sometimes when it sits outside in the sun with the windows closed I start the car and it is very hesitant to start and when it finally does it idles around 1800. The check engine light comes on and then later in the day when I try it again it is fine. I tried jumping the EI and TE1 in the diagnostic thing and all the cvheck engine light does is blink nonstop. I figured it was an ECM problem but the guys at the reprogramming place said no a reprogram will not fix my problems. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. I have looked all over for an answer but unable to find one. Really cant afford to bring her to the shop right now. Thanks in advance

1JZPWRD Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 You really need to get the codes read somewhere, or right down the number of flashes and then call someone to see what they are. I have a complete PDF manual if interested. Is there any other lights on besides the check engine? Could be the TPS, IACV, and a vacuum line has broken. Also could be the ignition coil on the driver side. This side is more prone to failure but could be the other as well. PM me for trying to read the codes.
