HI, I am new to this community and I need some help. I have a 96 es300, I bought it at 268k, and currently its at 320k.

I have done some repairs on it here and there but am overall very impressed with this car.

However, It has been having oil leaks which I have known about. I continuously check the fluid levels and keep up on them.

But now there is a leak that creates smoke to come out of the side of the hood. I thought I was overheating but I opened the hood and smelled oil, and could tell it was not overheating.

So...... currently im on the tighest budget possible and as these issues come up I am trying to diagnose some things before I go to a mechanic that may try to rip me off. And or even buy my parts first.

I uploaded a couple pics and I was hoping someone could tell me what part this is. This is the area the smoke is coming out of as well you can see the part im referring to is saturated with oil. Im thinking the oil is leaking onto the exhaust manifold and or pipe.

Also, lately I have noticed my power steering fluid going down little by little i replace it. I am wondering if this leak could be the cause. My dad who is used to working on American cars is not familiar with my car however he did say, I could have such a bad leak that my car could catch fire.

Any information would be helpful. Ultimately I will be taking it to a mechanic ASAP but I notice this forum is wonderful for sharing info...
