hello i have a 2002 lexus gs 300 and the driver side door doesnt lock manually or with the remote........does any body know what the problem is and what parts i need to fix it and where i can get these parts.....thanks

To my knowledge the powerlock needs to be replaced (I had the same problem on my GF's car).

The dealer wanted over $400 for the new power lock mechanism. We found a kid in sacramento CA who who

take apart the powerlock mechanism and fix it for $100. It has been perfect for over 3 years.

I would verify it is the powerlock assembly having an issue. An ad on craigs list for an experienced autobody

guy will disassembly that door panel in 5 mins and tell you if that's what it is.

I think in our case we could lock it manually but only from the inside until it was fixed.
