You have to start by removing the side panels along the long portion of the console, where the shift lever and drink holders are. That gives you access to the panels below the head unit and around the ashtray, etc. I think there is , or used to be, a couple of tutorials in the "search" data base on how to take the console and upper trim apart, as well as what tools to use. I would suggest you do a search and see if you can find some of those pictorial step - by - step instructions. Let us know how things work out.
