Dashboard Cracking

Is anyone having problems with the small cover over the passenger airbag cracking? Our car is garaged or in the shade most of the time but the cover seems to have shrunk and now has a crack opening around it. The car is in perfect condition and I have been very impressed with the quality of everything so far. This seems odd and wondered if I am the only one with this problem.

I have had this happen and the only explanation I can offer is that it is the sun, despite your keeping it well shaded. Maybe the air bag panel is made differently than the rest of the dash. “Ever since the beginning of time, man has yearned to destroy the sun. I have exact same problem on 2005 ES330. Will post the picture later.

I think we should shoot off the later to Lexus and see if they offer any fix.
