Would keeping the remote and cell phone in the same bag every day for extended periods damage the remote, or just cause the battery to wear down faster? The owner's manual states that, to avoid "serious deterioration, do not leave the electronic key within 3 ft of ...", then it lists several electronic devices, including computers and cell phones.
