fpt2001
1999 ES300 had the blinking AC light while driving. Turned it off. When at idle and the AC is turned on it will kill the engine. Turn the AC off and the engine starts and runs fine. I do not want to try this at higher engine speed for fear of snapping a belt. Any idea on whether this is the compressor or the clutch? Compressor seized. Blinking light is from lock sensor in compressor. Shuts compressor off when the speed of the compressor doesn't correlate with the engine speed. Now it's seized and stalls the engine immediately. The idea was to fix it BEFORE the compressor grenades and contaminates your entire system.
