BanjoJamie
Hello all! I replaced the dash lights in my 94 ES300 and the speedometer and gas gauge are broken. Any help would be much appreciated!
cduluk
I assume you took the cluster apart a bit, correct? I believe the back of the motors screw into the main circuit board with 4 screws. These screws need to be tightened to make contact as these screws transmit current from the circuit board to the motors. That'd be my first guess. Try taking some pics and i'll try to spot something that doesn't look right. I did needle and bulb modifications to many of the 92-96 ES clusters. BanjoJamie
I did. I will take it out again and take a picture of it. Thanks!
BanjoJamie
I took the plastic off the face of the cluster and removed the speed needle. The small white piece that connects the needle to the cluster was brittle and broken! So I took the needle inside and fit the pieces together again and super glued them, reinstalled and now the gauge works perfectly! Now to figure out my fuel gauge that is stuck on 1/2 a tank! cduluk
Had you taken the needles off before? Did that needle just break on its own?
BanjoJamie
The person that owned the car before me changed the dash lights, but I am not sure if he took the needles off when doing so.
Dean18
I have tried to preparing for the dash light changes. In addition, I wanted to get some tips in how to change it properly. However, I noticed that it could be good to have changes into my dash light because of the existing factor from it.
