Picked up a used 2007 ES350 and was going to do an oil change. Is it true, no throw-away filter but, a cartridge? Also, do you need a special tool to remove filter?

Oh, any tricks to removing those clips the cover the engine, without destroying them?

Go to page 3 and find the post OIL FILTER REMOVAL by Beaver1 on August 26 and read the replies. You will find the answers and the part number for the tool. Do a google search on the tool part number and it will provide numerous sources from which you can select.

Mel, forgot about the push pins. A small screwdriver can pop up the push pin center portion then you simply pull the whole assembly to remove the trim panels. The key is to get the small center pin raised before attempting to remove the whole assembly. Good luck.
