My 2000 RX300 doesn't have the master key when I bought it only has the valet key. So I bought a master key and had it cut and flashed the ECU by the qualified locksmith to get the car start with the new key, but he could not programmed the remote to lock and unlock the doors.

Anyone know what wrong with my car or remote?

I even tried with the following method found in the forums but when I get to step #7 NOTHING happen:

Remote Programming

1. Close and lock all doors. Unlock and open drivers door.

2. Put key into ignition and remove. Do not turn it on.

3. Using the electric lock switch. Lock and unlock 5 times. (Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock,

Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock)

4. Close and open drivers door.

5. Using the electric lock switch. Lock and unlock 5 times. (Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock,

Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock)

6. Put key into ignition. Turn to "ON" , turn off and remove.

7. You will see the door locks cycle by themselves.

If the door locks do not cycle (lock and unlock) by themselves then the car isn’t in

programming mode and you must start over.

8. On the remote, press and hold the LOCK and the UNLOCK button at the same time for no

more than 2 seconds.

9. On the remote, press the LOCK button for no more than 1 second.

AT THIS POINT, the locks should cycle by themselves ONE time. This means the procedure was

accepted.

IF the locks cycle twice it has failed.

I have attached the instructions I used to successfully program my remote key. If not done exactly, it will not work. Note: This operation does not call for flashing the ECU. Good luck!

If you have no success with the above instructions, you might look at the document at this link:

Refer to page BE130. I hope this is helpful.

Do you know where the Wireless Door Lock Control Receiver is?

Is it under the passenger seat?

Thanks.

your profile indicates you have something other than an RX series

vehicle. You might try searching this site in your

model's section. Good luck.

The locations of the receivers are indicated on page BE-130 at the following link:

Joe913,

Yes I did see that on page 130, but it's hard to tell exactly where the receiver is from the illustration. Thanx for helping.
