John Coral Springs FL
What is the easiest (comparatively speaking) way of changing the coil on the #5 cylinder? I have a P0305 code which I'm about 90% sure is the coil on the cylinder. 2,4 and 6 are a cinch to get to but I want to know if there is a way to get to #5 if you don't have access to a lift without moving a lot of plumbing. John Coral Springs FL
Answered my own question. You can get a hand in (barely) #5 behind the intake manifold but take off the connector first. If you do as I did and unbolt the coil first, it flops around as you try to disconnect the spark plug wires. It also helps to have a ratcheting wrench to loosen the 10mm nut holding the coil on.
