Car Shut Off While Driving

I came from the car wash and drove about 10 blocks and the car shut off, it kept rolling and I had to use the emergency break to keep from crashing into another car. Do you know what the issue could be?

let it dry out, then try it in your driveway....

if ok, then look for it ...

on my bike when the rims (=rotors) get wet in the rain, brakes won't stop it, but this is a much less likey explanation
