takemetamars
Hey, Well I've had my Es 300 for 4 years and until about six months ago the CD Changer worked great, but lately it's been a nightmare. I've narrowed it down to possibly the motor that spins the discs is dying. I've spent money on lens cleaners and cans of air to blow out any dirt/dust but that didn't seem to help. So I took the damn thing apart and have to manually spin the cd, run to the head unit, select cd, then run back to the trunk to make sure it's still spinning in order to play it. Needless to say this makes me feel quite stupid. I've broken down and bought an mp3 tape adapter, but the sound quality just plain sucks. Anyway to the point, are any of the previous model es 300's cd changers compatible with a 96? In other words, can I swap out a 93/94/95 changer into my trunk? It seems like finding a working 96 cd changer is like finding the lost city of Atlantis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Would rather not have to buy a single cd aftermarket head unit down the road. Thanks!
