Navigation System Setting Problem

Thank you in advance for any help with this -

Somehow my navagtion system was set so that it now keeps track of everywhere I drive (by placing dots on the streets I driver over).

Unfortunately I drive the same routes often and now my map is full of dots and I'm having difficulty seeing things.

I have searched all my manuals and many days on the web but I have failed to find how this is set/removed.

Does someone know how this was set and how to undo it?

My 2015 RX has this a route tracking or tracing under the navigation settings. Your dealers technical assistant  should be able to help you with this for free. You might try calling first and save yourself a trip if you can't find it in the manual. If they try and charge you, report them to Lexus.
