Ls 430 Passenger Temp Control Button Stuck

How do I fix a passenger-side temp control button (hot) that is stuck in the down position and will not allow any other buttons to work? The button can be manually pulled forward, but the underlying switch is stuck or broken. The battery did go dead the day before this happened but may be unrelated.

Here's how to remove the switch. You can either replace it with a new one or take it apart further and try to clean it up. Maybe just some spilled liquid has dried up in it.
