Help On Enabling Maintenance/calendar While Driving Mod

I've red like 10 times the Sonartech thread on modication to enable the music folders/maintenance/calendar/phone options while driving. I did the wiring modication to the letter, but for some reason, i only have access to the music folders while driving ???!!!

Also, if the modification is done right, how can i tell that the DSL is not working: is it grayed out or i can push ON and OFF but i doesn't do anything.
