cmarksmith Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I hope that someone might be able to help me with an interior lighting problem. I have recently bought a 2002 SC430 here in England and I love it to bits! Only problem is I can not get any of the switch backlighting to work on the centre console when the lights are switched on. There is live power reaching the panel fuse and I have replaced this 5amp panel fuse with no change. The rheostat seems fine. Could anyone suggest where I might look for poor connectios in the circuit or any other possible solutions. I am keen to get illumination for the switches as it is a bit of a safety issue scrabbling around for the right switch in the dark and not even being clear about the location of the hazard warning switch. Any pointers gratefully received. Kind regards, Colin
cduluk Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Have you checked the dashboard dimmer switch? If the dimmer is set all the way low, the console lights will not illuminate. It's worth a check <_<
