es300_
Hi - i have an 94 ES300 w/ many miles on it. the car makes a lot of creaking noises (originally i thought it was the STRUTS/SHOCKS) when the body of the car moves around (i.e. just from turning or driving slowly anywhere that is not completely level/straight - you hear the sounds)(it seems to come more from the back of the car than the front, but not very clear) it began doing it gradually over the years. at one point recently i had completely new STRUTS (and mounting brackets for them) installed on all 4 wheels. was hoping that would also fix this issue but it didn't make ANY difference in these noises. any idea what is left that could be needing this fix? my mechanic (not a dealer) can't seem to figure it out. The1
I have this same problem and also another that made me want to get new struts and shocks. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay?
es300_
i think it was about $1500 for the 4 struts and new "mounts" (for each strut). yeah i would think this would be a very common problem on these older es's...hopefully someone can shed some light on what it is. Xaolen
My guess is that your bushings need replacing.
